I live in Medan. So let me introduce my city to all of you.. Medan is capital of North Sumatra province in Indonesia. Medan is divided into 21 district. Medan is the fourth most populous after Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bandung.
Now the question is what activity that we can do in Medan? What place that we can visit and how about the transportation? As we know now, the airport moved to Kualanamu, Lubuk Pakam. There is many option from Kualanamu to Medan. By Taxi, Train or Bus. I usually take bus to or from kuala namu. Now by bus it cost Rp. 20.000,-/person. it stop at carefour.
What to do?
1. Eat
What can i eat? In medan there are many food.Chinese food, western food and others.
a.)Selat panjang chinese street food. open arround 7pm. I usually order Liong tahu, nasi asan. From selat panjang street you can walk to pandu street, at there you can eat fried rice.
b.) Asia megamas. there are many food in here. From chinese food, vegetarian, satay, bakso, noodle and snack.
c.) Nah for you who is bakso lovers.. I recommend you to metal street and krakatau street. mantap 👍👍.
d.) If you indomie lover, you can try indomie kuah at Agam (Multatuli Streat).
e.) Medan also well known with the india food. If you want to try india food, you can go to Kampung Keling (Zainul Arifin Street;Near sun plaza). There are many india food that you can try.. Other place is near Lapangan Merdeka/Panin Bank its open from 7PM. Try the martabak gapa and roti tissue.
2. Shopping.
Love shopping? There are many shopping mall in medan. Cambridge mall, Sun Plaza, Medan fair/carefour, center point, brastagi supermarket, smartco, medan mall. feel happy to enjoy your shopping time.
3. Boring for shopping and eat? Then you can visit Rahmat Galery, Istana Maimon, Tjong Afie Mansion, Graha Maria Annai Velangkanie and vihara cemara asri.
